SupplyScape Corporation recently announced that Columbus Serum Company (CSC) has selected the SupplyScape E-Pedigree data management solution to comply with pedigree regulatory requirements and to help drive operational efficiencies in its supply chain operations. Columbus Serum Company is a wholesale distributor of veterinary products doing business with more than 8,000 veterinary practices in 26 states. As a distributor selling more than 400 human prescription drugs to veterinary practices for animal use, Columbus Serum is required to meet the pedigree requirements under the Federal Prescription Drug Marketing Act (PDMA). "The selection of E-Pedigree as Columbus Serum's standard for electronic pedigree management demonstrates the product's flexibility to meet animal health pedigree compliance requirements of veterinary wholesale distributors," said Greg Cathcart, senior vice president of sales, marketing, and services at SupplyScape.

Coventry Health Care to buy certain health insurance businesses
April 26 (Reuters) - Insurer Coventry Health Care Inc. (CVH.N: Quote, Profile, Research said it agreed to acquire certain group health insurance businesses from Mutual of Omaha for $120 million in cash. The deal, which is expected to close in 60 to 120 days, is estimated to be slightly accretive to earnings in the first year after closing, the company said.
